Meridian Public Schools
Sanford, Michigan
Patrick Malley is the Assistant Superintendent and High School Principal at Meridian Public Schools, a small rural school district in Sanford, Michigan. As the district’s founding New Tech Director in 2012, Patrick leveraged New Tech Network’s design principles to transform Meridian’s comprehensive high school into an Early College where every student is prepared to take college courses before graduating high school. Today, Meridian Early College High School sends 50% of juniors and 95% of seniors off campus each day to participate in a variety of postsecondary programs. Over half of Meridian students stay on for a fifth year at the community college. Over 80% of Meridian graduates earn a full year of college credit before they graduate. Ten percent earn an associate’s degree before receiving their diploma. Prior to his work at Meridian, Patrick was the founding Director of Niles New Tech Entrepreneurial Academy in Niles, Michigan.
