Our Partners and Collaborators
New Tech Network and our ecosystem of partners, collaborators and supporters learn together, improve on what works and contribute to the field in powerful ways. Our collective effort helps create powerful impact in numerous ways. Together, we are creating a nation proud of its public schools.
AIR is one of the world’s largest behavioral and social science research and evaluation organizations. Our overriding goal is to use the best science available to bring the most effective ideas and approaches to enhancing everyday life. For us, making the world a better place is not wishful thinking. It is the goal that drives us. We are a team of dedicated educators and policy experts who are passionate about America’s public schools. Together with our partners, we are working toward a shared goal: preparing all students for success in college and career. The Corporation has devoted unremitting effort toward the two issues Andrew Carnegie considered of paramount importance: international peace and the advancement of education and knowledge. While these remain areas in need of great attention through our nation and the world, we have maintained a long tradition of striving to meet the challenges that are with us and responding to the constant ebb and flow of issues and ideas. CWRA+ is an innovative assessment designed explicitly for the twenty-first-century student. Unlike many standardized tests, which measure students’ abilities to memorize numbers, dates, and facts, CWRA+ measures critical-thinking and written-communication skills (such as analysis and problem solving, scientific and quantitative reasoning, critical reading and evaluation, critiquing an argument, as well as writing effectiveness and mechanics). At the Hewlett Foundation, we are committed to the goal that all U.S. students will receive an excellent education centered on deeper learning. To reach that objective we are focused on: Working with states and districts to improve learning goals, so that schools can focus on teaching deeper learning and have the support they need to reach that goal. The mission of ECMC Foundation is to inspire and facilitate improvements that affect educational outcomes—especially among underserved populations—through evidence-based innovation. ECMC Foundation prioritizes evaluation and measurement and is committed to sharing its impact. The Foundation’s programs have ambitious goals that include: helping to reduce global poverty, limiting the risk of climate change, improving education for students in California and elsewhere, improving reproductive health and rights worldwide, supporting vibrant performing arts in our community, advancing the field of philanthropy, and supporting disadvantaged communities in the San Francisco Bay Area. High Tech High began in 2000 as a single charter high school launched by a coalition of San Diego business leaders and educators. It has evolved into an integrated network of schools spanning grades K-12, housing a comprehensive teacher certification program and a new, innovative Graduate School of Education. Digital Promise League of Innovative Schools connects and rallies the most forward-thinking leaders of the nation’s school districts. By working together on shared priorities – and partnering with leading entrepreneurs, researchers, and education leaders – League districts pioneer innovative learning and leadership practices that lead to improved outcomes for students and that help prepare them for learning for life. The Learning Policy Institute conducts and communicates independent, high-quality research to improve education policy and practice. Working with policymakers, researchers, educators, community groups, and others, the Institute seeks to advance evidence-based policies that support empowering and equitable learning for each and every child. In partnership with all Napa County school districts and the County Office of Education, NapaLearns encourages the success of EVERY student by providing resources, funding, and thought leadership to help district staff adopt innovations in teaching and learning focused on the demands of the future.
