Tassels turn at Warren County High, New Tech

May 24, 2011

Tips for achieving success were the focus of the class challenge as Warren County High School awarded diplomas to 122 seniors Saturday morning.

Senior Ashley Hinton sang the “National Anthem” to open the school’s 30th commencement exercises.

Salutatorian Sherrell Alston gave the welcome and thanked parents, teachers, staff and others for their support. She told her classmates to hold onto their “values, work ethic and humanity.”

Class co-presidents Vanity Newell and Alexis Privett recognized guests and gave a tribute to parents, respectively, and Quintin Terry, president of the National Honor Society, gave a tribute to teachers and staff who “taught us unconditional love and patience.”
