Dr. James Tracy, Head of School at Rocky Hill School, will speak at the Education Writers Association 71st National Seminar at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles (May 16 – 18), the largest gathering of education journalists in the nation. This year’s theme—”Room for All? Diversity in Education & the Media”—will examine the impact of today’s fast changing demographic and cultural dynamics, from the classroom to the newsroom and beyond.
Dr. Tracy will be joined by Lydia Dobyns, President of the New Tech Network of Schools. The session will be moderated by Greg Toppo, President of the EWA Board of Directors, and Senior Editor for Inside Higher Ed.
The presentation by Dr. Tracy and Ms. Dobyns is titled “AI and the Future of Work: Are Schools Ready?” Technological advancements, such as artificial intelligence and robotics, are changing the role of humans in the workplace. Dr. Tracy and Ms. Dobyns will explain these innovations and discuss how K-12 schools and universities should respond to prepare young people for jobs of the future.
