Freshmen from New Tech Academy at Wayne High School have ideas about what might encourage people to stay in Fort Wayne.
Today, they shared those plans – blueprints included – with community members at the Grand Wayne Center. Suggestions included an innovation center, a tram system, European-style plazas and outdoor recreational areas.
John Hudson, an associate architect with Viridian Architectural Design, was among those critiquing the students’ work. To him, the event is more about listening to their ideas and though process.
“It’s always a challenge for the timeframe and that they’ve never done this before,” Hudson said.
